SATURDAY
"Los Hermanos Moreno"
Nelson Moreno and Los Hermanos Moreno are the essence of aggressive salsa. With a number of major hits on the Latin charts during the ‘90s, Los Moreno easily make any serious salseros top ten salsa band list. The group is a constant presence in the New York club and festival scene. They are also established in the worldwide salsa touring circuit with fans in the Americas, Europe and Japan who immediately recognize the Moreno trademark chant of Sa-Sa Sa-Sal-Sa, which they brought to the world of big outdoor salsa festivals.

Los Hermanos Moreno have recently reorganized to raise their music to another level. The band is led by master showman Nelson Moreno who any fan will recognize as the force behind their performances whether directing, singing, playing trombone, or rumbeando.

Nelson Moreno is native of Hoboken, New Jersey who together with his brother created the group in 1990, bringing it quickly to a worldwide audience with an unforgettable landmark performance at Madison Square Garden that led to World tours and TV appearances throughout the Americas, Europe, and Japan.

Under the direction of Nelson Moreno, Los Hermanos Moreno have melded their traditional aggressive style of salsa with more sensual lyrics and sophisticated orchestration. They have recorded 5 CDs, No me vuelvo a enamorar, Para alegrarte la vida, Together, Sabor y Romance, Donde estabas tu?. Una Miradita – which means A Quick Glance – is the latest release under the direction of Nelson Moreno, featuring some of the heaviest salsa arrangements to come out of New York in years. The execution is classic Moreno with unbeatable swing and the full sound of a six-piece horn section. However, Nelson Moreno has made the production more intimate with tremendous song selection including several beautiful Cuban themes, Una Miradita and Amor Total, performed for the first time in a modern salsa format.
